Job 1:22
“Despite all this, Job did not sin, nor did he blame God.”
Wow! Amazing. What a testament. God bragged to Satan about Job. His wealth and his family are gone. It might of happened in a day. I’ve heard plenty of situations in which parents lost their kids. Horrible circumstances. They asked God why. It’s not wrong to ask. It would be wrong to blame. Job 2:10 says, ‘But Job replied, “You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.’
I’ve got a friend that said, “I’ve got the faith of a child”. I relate to that. God has given me the faith to believe. I could certainly believe more. But I feel that belief.
I have had troubled circumstances, as the scripture predicts. There are the low to midlevel ones which happen often. I seem to have a big one nearly every decade. I am about a year out of the last one. The biggest one was my boss turning against me. That was twenty years ago. That was tough. I spoke of it constantly. That’s what we do when we’re in pain. What’s crazy is that a friend was used to cause him to back off. I still smile to this day when I think of it. Almost like Haman tried to kill the Jews, so my boss wanted me gone. God intervened.
I know God gave me this faith. I can’t brag about it. I’m so thankful I’ve got it. Thank You, Lord.
