The Fruit Born

I Corinthians 9:2

“If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.”

We know that Paul is an apostle. However, he makes a good point, the corinthians are the fruit of his ministry. Yes, they were a troubled church and this letter is one of correction, but many of them are christians because of his efforts.

All believers should have fruit of their lives and ministry in Christ. Regardless of how little or large our corner is God works through His children. I met with a brother in Christ last night. He is a friend from nearly 40 years ago. He either came to Christ or dedicated his life to Christ through our friendship. He has had a tough time, but has returned to his faith.

Hopefully through our jobs we have a godly influence. It could be direct through relationships or from afar. Our peers have life difficulties. We offer to pray for them. They see us going through ups and downs.. They witness us leaning on Christ for strength. They see the peace God gives. This may lead them to seeking the Lord.

We also volunteer at church. God uses us in whatever capacity we’re in. God blesses us with gifts and influence. Much of this is invisible to us. We won’t know until we’re in heaven.

All of us in Christ should be sharing the fruit of the Spirit with those around us. God opens their eyes and has an inroad. Thank You, Lord, for the influence You give. Help us to share Your love where ever You lead us.
