Praise and Worship

2 Chronicles 29:25
“He then stationed the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres, according to the command of David and of Gad, the king’s seer, and of Nathan the prophet; for the command was from the LORD through His prophets.”
Hezekiah is a new king and he is bringing the nation back to God. He did the big thing by removing the uncleanness from the temple. I assume it was an idol. Now he is restoring worship by bringing in musical instruments. This is a great sign. This is going way deep into the positive. When one worships it’s not only giving thanks, but it’s done in an enthusiastic way.
While in church I don’t sing much. That’s just a personality thing. I do love it. I can recall seeing people being so expressive during worship and feeling inadequate. I’ve since come to realize I’m not built to be real expressive. I love listening to christian radio and praising Him. I listen to it on the ipad.
Worship is so important. It’s like the joy in life. He is worthy. All that is good and beautiful in the world is because of Him. He is brilliant and good. He brings the joy in life. Seeing heaven as clouds togas and harps is wrong. It makes it seem uninteresting. In reality it’ll be amazing because of Him. We should get started now by praising Him.
We don’t need songs to praise Him. We should be grateful. Singing is just a more expressive way to do so. David is a great example of one who has a grateful heart. He expressed that in word, in writing and song. We should do the same.
Praise puts an extra layer of gratitude in one’s life. It’s such an important part. There are difficult parts of life. Praising Him during them shows faith. It demonstrates trust. It says, “Lord. I don’t understand this. I know that You work all things for the good. I praise You in advance for the maturity that You will put in my life.”
Thank You Lord for praise and worship. You are so good to us and You are worthy to be praised.
