2 Chronicles 6:32,33
“Also concerning the foreigner who is not from Your people Israel, when he comes from a far country on account of Your great name and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm, when they come and pray toward this house, then hear from heaven, from Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, and fear You as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by Your name.”
This is God’s heart. His plan was to draw the foreigner. After Jesus’ resurrection came the time of the gentiles. While Jews would still come to Christ, God’s focus went to the gentiles.
God hears every cry. Regardless as to how small the voice is, He hears. Regardless as to how insignificant the person is, He listens and responds.
Unfortunately Satan has been busy making false religions which deceive many. God can still work, but there are complications. Jesus addresses this in Matthew 13:28-30. This the parable of the wheat and tares. They were growing together. “And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No; while you are gathering up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” God would have to untangle all this. There will be people saved who belong to the wrong church and those in the right church who aren’t saved. God will work that out.
God can reach anyone any where. People everywhere pray. God uses the difficulties of life which prompt them to do so. I heard a non Christian praying. I don’t know why it surprised me, but it did. God is working in their hearts and their lives. She is stuck in a religious system that is against christianity. God can draw her.
God has His children as His witnesses everywhere. A friend shared an experience yesterday. A coworker asked him why he was so happy. He got to share with him. One of his responses was, “I asked that same question of a coworker in 1981.” That was cool. God is working in that person’s heart. While my friend is happy in Christ, God put that thought in that guys mind. That’s God.
Jesus said, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to Myself.” He is drawing all men to Himself. Many don’t yield or take God’s offer. But He is drawing them. There are key moments that occur several times in every life. They accept or reject.
Thank You Lord that I am with You. I may have rejected His offers earlier. I recall going forward during an altar call. A great interest and hunger for God was developing. My mom and I started watching christian television. Then we both responded to an altar call on tv. We knew this was different. We were born again. That summer I stopped partying with my friends. A casual friend from school became closer when I came to Christ. I met Gordon, a seminary student. I would go to his house weekly for bible studies. That and christian tv was my nourishment. We were invited to a concert at Calvary Chapel. I also went to the christian club at Santa Ana college.
Satan was nipping at my heels. He didn’t like my new life in Christ. God was faithful and kept me. I look back and am so grateful. I had some close calls that could have led me from God. God was so faithful. Thank You, God.
He rescues us, adopts us and sets us on a new and good path. He fill us with Himself and heals us. Thank You, God.
You hear any that call on You. You take lives that were in the trash heap. Thank You, God.
