When We are Doubted

2 Samuel 19:27
“Furthermore, he has slandered your servant to my lord the king; but my lord the king is like the angel of God, therefore do what is good in your sight.”

This is a tough situation for Mephibosheth. If he is being honest, then he was misunderstood. It is interesting that David doubted him. Maybe he did have an attitude. I'll assume he was being honest. It's quite frustrating to be misunderstood. If one doubts us, it's very difficult to convince them. We do our best and leave it to God.
David was king and could make life difficult. Mephibosheth should respectful and fear God. The Lord is greater than all. He is to be feared. Worries can plague us and make life miserable. We give it up to Him and ask for His peace.
Philippians 4:6,7 gives us a great promise, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
We serve a great God. We may still get stressed over the king, but give it to God. He will give us His peace.
Lord, thank You that You've got us. We might be doubted by the powerful, but if we've got You, then that's all that matters.
