Matthew 28:19,20
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Jesus’ work is finished. He lived a great life. Gave us an amazing example. He then died for our sins and rose again from the dead. We now can be forgiven and accepted by God. His work being done He will soon ascend to heaven. He gives us a last charge. That is to share His message with those we meet. Those that accept it we are to make disciples and to teach them all He commanded.
Once we become born again He gives us a new heart. It’s one that desires the things of God. Part of that is a desire to see others come to Him. Some accept the message , others don’t. Usually those that accept it take a seed. They rarely buy in upon hearing. They take a little. That’s ok, as another believer will come along and water that seed or contribute a couple other seeds. Maybe years later that one will accept Him.
Some times when we share we get rejected. That’s happened to me more than once. It’s our job to share. We pray for them. If they reject us it doesn’t mean it’s a total loss. The seed is still sown and could grow. We are to pray for that.
God is the one who is bringing them into our paths. He is seeking them and drawing them. They cross our paths and we pray and share with them. He is working in their hearts.
Thank You, Lord, for this mission. Give us success. Give us the words to say.
