Your Power Helps in Life and Death

Philippians 3:21
“who will transform the body of our lowly condition into conformity with His glorious body, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.”
If we are in Christ our bodies will be transformed into heavenly bodies. This is quite a mystery. We can’t go there and come back to report on it. We have to trust God with this.
God tells us much in the bible that make Him trustworthy. The bible itself is much evidence in itself. Bible prophecy is great proof of His credibility. This is where God predicts the future and we see its fulfillment. There are many. On big one was about king Cyrus. It was told of him long before his birth that he would be the one that would release the nation of Israel to allow them to go back to their homeland. It happened just as predicted. There are many more. That is the proof God gives us to trust Him.
God’s character helps us to trust Him. God is love and He loves us more than we can understand. He sent His Son to die for us to save us. He gives the entire Old Testament to provide the story of His love for Israel and how He loved them. Then there is Jesus and how He came to save us. It’s an amazing story.
God gave the bible to show the way to enter a relationship with God and how to live as a christian. The apostle Paul and his writings are very helpful. The amazing book of Romans and how we are justified by faith as a free gift from God. The rest of his books teach us how to live as a believer. They are very helpful.
Which brings us to today’s verse. God gave us much on how to become a christian, how to trust Him and the bible. Our last journey is from death to life in heaven. Because of all God gave us makes it easy to trust Him with that process. We are completely powerless. We have no other good options. The God of the bible is the only trustworthy one.
It’s interesting to read the reference to God’s power in today’s verse. We have to trust Him with the process. We are yielded to Him for it. Just as everything with Him we have to trust. I would imagine it would take power. He knows how to do it. That same power keeps us from temptation and gives us a victorious christian life. Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” So, we don’t need to worry about it. We are told to trust Him for our daily needs, so we have to trust Him to transport us to heaven and give us bodies suitable.
Thank You, Lord, for saving us, for giving us the power to live a joyful christian life and for finally bringing us to heaven. It’s quite a mystery, but it’s one of the many things You want us to trust You for.
