Psalm 101-110 Highlights

Psalm 101

David’s “I wills”
1I will sing of lovingkindness and justice. To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.
2I will give heed to the blameless way. When will You come to me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.
3I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me.
4…I will know no evil.
5Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; No one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure.
6My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a blameless way is the one who will minister to me.
7He who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house;
He who speaks falsehood shall not maintain his position
8Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, So as to cut off from the city of the LORD all those who do iniquity.

Psalm 102
6I resemble a pelican of the wilderness; I have become like an owl of the waste places.

11My days are like a lengthened shadow, And I wither away like grass.
12But You, O LORD, abide forever, And Your name to all generations.

18This will be written for the generation to come,That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD.

20To hear the groaning of the prisoner,To set free those who were doomed to death,

Psalm 103
5Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.

8The LORD is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.

13Just as a father has compassion on his children,So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
14For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust.

Psalm 104
Amy Grant’s song-Psalm 104
24O LORD, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; The earth is full of Your possessions.
25There is the sea, great and broad,
In which are swarms without number,
Animals both small and great.

33I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Psalm 105
He protects us, as well
14He permitted no man to oppress them, And He reproved kings for their sakes:
16And He called for a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.
24And He caused His people to be very fruitful, And made them stronger than their adversaries.
40They asked, and He brought quail,And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
43And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with a joyful shout.

Psalm 106
21They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt,

Psalm107
6Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses.
41But He sets the needy securely on high away from affliction,
And makes his families like a flock.
42The upright see it and are glad; But all unrighteousness shuts its mouth.

Psalm 108
3I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
12Oh give us help against the adversary, For deliverance by man is in vain.

Psalm 109
21But You, O GOD, the Lord, deal kindly with me for Your name’s sake; Because Your lovingkindness is good, deliver me;
