He Does Far More Than We Imagine

Ephesians 3:20
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us”.

I almost feel guilty commenting on this passage. It is so blessed to be a christian. The world doesn't see this. Hebrews 11:25 says, "choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin". Most see the passing pleasure of sin. That's what is paraded on the tv and all throughout our culture. But they leave out the aftermath, the addiction, the broken lives and marriages.
In actuality the life God calls us to is very blessed. Today's passage speaks of it. He does for us far more than we can imagine. Far more! We all have great hopes and wishes for us. God's plans are far better.
God created us and knows us. He knows what's best for us. Often times if we got what we wanted, it would bring misery. If we submit to God, He spares us that. Psalm 23 says "He guides our path in righteousness for His name's sake". Righteousness speaks of right relationships.
Our relationships can be very fulfilling. Following His Word and His guidance, He makes our relationships optimal. The primary ones are our marriages and family. Proverbs 16:7 says, "When a man’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." Many relationships can go bad, family isn't exempt. However, when our ways are pleasing to God, He blesses our relationships. There is so much joy when people are happy with one another.
We can't boast about our ways being pleasing to Him. He is the one who guides us, He is the one who aides and empowers us to follow Him. Yes, we have a small part. Maybe just nodding our submission to Him. He does far more than we realize. We can't even begin to take credit. We can say thank You.
As was said earlier, this is for His names sake. It is good for Him that we are blessed and a usable vessel. Others see it and want it as well. Luke 14:34 says, "Salt is good, but if the salt loses its savor, with what will it be seasoned?" We are salt and light. He uses us to bring flavor and spice. We are to be a blessing to others. Ultimately, He want them to be His children.
He does far more in using us to His glory. He is the creator and sustainer of all. He also wants to guide and use us. He is the best life coach. He optimizes His use of us. We become far more useful in His hands. We can take no credit. It's Him. He does far more than we are capable of imagining. What an honor. He fills us with so much joy, we can hardly contain ourselves.
Thank You Lord for Your great blessings. Thank You for using us to help others to come to know You.
