His Keeping Power

Galatians 5:10
“I am trusting the Lord to keep you from believing false teachings. God will judge that person, whoever he is, who has been confusing you.”

The Lord wants to protect and keep us. Paul says in 2 Timothy 1:12b, "I am convinced that He is able to protect what I have entrusted to Him until that day." Jesus says in John 10:27, 28, "My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand." This was said when Jesus didn't have many sheep. He was projecting to the future. He has millions of sheep now. What a blessing to know that we are in His hand.
This is part of eternal security. Which is God keeps those that are His. There are some different perspectives on this, but the bottom line is that God will keep us from getting lost or taken. What peace this brings.
We will face some struggles in this life. There is much heart ache that will be experienced. Some have had a depth of sorrow that is unimaginable. However, God is there keeping them along the way.
We will also face temptations. Some are from the evil one who seeks to harm the Lord, so he seeks to destroy people knowing it hurts God. We will fall at times and experience shame. However, Jesus will not allow us to be snatched out of His hand. Thank You Lord. I can still recall the hurt and desperation, yet here I am decades later. This life isn't over and there will be more problems. My confidence that He get me there is much greater.
I Corinthians 10:13 shares with us a wonderful promise. "No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it." At the time, it didn't feel bearable, but I'm sitting here now having survived them. There were some stumbles and falls, but the Lord had picked me up and has allowed me to continue in Him. We are eternally secure.
There are some promises in scripture that we don't quite understand, so we don't believe them. Eternal security is one of them. While all the tough questions that are there are still tough, don't let them keep us from resting in His keeping power. We like to complicate things. Just rest.
God loves us and wants us to trust Him. It's not like walking on a frozen lake that is cracking under our feet. His promises are trustworthy. He wants us to rest in Him.
Lord, thank You for keeping us and wanting us to relax in Your strength. We love you Lord.
