He Blesses Us

Deuteronomy 7:12,13
12“Then it shall come about, because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, that the LORD your God will keep with you His covenant and His lovingkindness which He swore to your forefathers. 13“He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock, in the land which He swore to your forefathers to give you.”
God blesses obedience. The pure type that comes from humbly walking with and obeying Him.
It’s not a works trip inwhich one is attempting to earn His favor. When in Christ, we have His favor. We got that through Jesus’ sacrifice. We can become His child through all the doors that Jesus opened. We obey Him because He’s our God and we have learned to trust Him.
He wants to bless us. He loves us and wants the best for us. That doesn’t mean He’ll spoil us. He may give us circumstances that are rough, but they are for our best. He’s working His character in us. He’s also building a life of ministry in and through us.
Psalm 23 says that He gives us respect. It says He will build a table for us in the presence of our enemies. Part of His blessing is to honor us. It’s like a feast for us. All of those in our lives witness it. That is also part of His blessing. This comes as we walk with Him, adopt His ways and His character.
He will also bless us with good relationships, health and sustainance. We will still have problems. But He will bless us as we follow Him.
Part of this blessing is to lure onlookers to Him. He wants to bless everyone. He does this because He loves us and loves them. He wants them to obey Him, so He can bless them.
Lord, thank You for all You do for us. Help us to walk in Your ways.
Lord, thank You for Your blessings.
