The Blueprint For Facing Difficulties

Hebrews 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they had been encircled for seven days.

The city of Jericho was an enemy city that was to be taken. It was not taken in a military fashion. The worship leaders led the procession for seven days. At the end, the wall fell down. The fighting men came in at this point to finish the job.
All throughout our lives, we will have issues that God wants us to confront. They are uncomfortable and often ignored. He wants us to pray about them. He wants us to rely on Him for help. He will guide us. Sometimes we hear no voice and need to follow wise advise. Regardless of how it’s to be done, we are to do it at a prayerful pace. We should be asking Him and giving Him time to answer. If this has been done, we proceed with a worshipful attitude. The worship leaders were prominent. So, we are to be giving thanks all through the process. This is sincere, as He promises to help. Giving thanks ahead of time is a demonstration of faith. We know He will work it out. We don’t have to know the specifics. We praise Him. This brings peace of mind. We may not have even started the difficult job. We’ve experienced His help often and know He’ll come through. Most of this process is done privately. We can ask others to pray for us. Outside of that, most of this is between us and God.  Some christians are a bit extreme in their praise. This is the type of behavior our culture ridicules. This shouldn’t dampen our gratitude. It is personal, it’s meant to be between us and God. We can tell others the stories of God’s help in our lives. This is a great source of witnessing. Probably the best. Unbelievers get a glimpse of what God does in us on a daily basis. Struggles are universal. They begin to pray when theirs arise.
The walls of Jericho were the strongest around. We may have some some areas of our lives which are impossible to solve. The Jericho story tells us that it’s no problem with God. We are to stop worrying. He can do it. Approach it with an attitude of faith.
Lord, thank You that You are capable with all in our lives. The issues You choose to help us with will be solved. Help us to trust You.
